This is a Kiwi… as in a kiwi fruit. Yes it DOES look a bit like hairy monkey nuts on the outside. It doesn’t taste like them though…. not that I know what hairy monkey nuts taste like, swear it.

This is also what a kiwi is. New Zealanders (usually Non-Maori) are called Kiwis. This is not because when you slice them open they are green inside with little seeds, believe me. Their nickname comes from the fact that the kiwi bird is a bit like their national symbol. In WWI the Soldiers from NZ had little Kiwi Bird symbols on their uniforms. There are many similarities between New Zealanders and a Kiwi Bird. NEITHER of them can fly for example.
